Judes in size One are designed by us to be comfortably worn even in the first days of a newborn's life. Before the umbilical cord stump falls off, care should be taken to ensure the area does not come into contact with stool or urine. Judes fit low enough that this is usually not a problem. If there is some fabric over the area, the inner diaper can be tucked in slightly. The cover then helps to keep everything in place. 

To use Judes even earlier, there's a trick: First put on the inner diaper as usual and fasten the Velcro on the belly. If the diaper is not tight enough around the legs, you can tuck the ruffles inside. This ensures the diaper fits well and is leak-proof. Then, put the cover on as usual.
